So far, of all the work on the house, this one has taken the longest, and cost the most!!! I ordered the fence back in April, with a 5 week delivery time frame. A couple of days after the concrete was poured, it rained for about 2 weeks, so they couldn't come back to seal it so I could actually use it! They managed to seal it between showers on Thursday, and it will be good to use tomorrow!! YAY!! No more stumbling around in the dark, dodging mud puddles!!
I am totally thrilled with the results, I think it looks 100 times better already, and I haven't even started on the gardens yet ... well, apart from getting rid of the palms, and other trees.

Once again, a HUGE thanks to dad for his help on this - he arranged the 'workers' and came by whenever needed while I was at work. He also spent the morning here shovelling gravel for me - the run up to the driveway from the road leaves a lot to be desired, so now its nice & even, THANKS DAD!! xxx
I forgot to add .... the fence people will be back, weather permitting, to install the driveway gate - its motorised, so just the press of a button, and I'm good to go!! I wont have to get out of the car to open the gate in the rain, or in the dark!! Horah!!!

Driveway gate installed!

I changed my mind on the colour of the pickets for the side fence & gates after I had ordered them, and I'm glad I did now ... they were originally going to be white, so that's why the posts are white - they had already made them by the time I changed my mind. I like it though, I think the white posts look fine! I think if the pickets were white, it would look too stark.

The fence is actually aluminium, not vinyl.
