The Laundry Cupboard

My current (existing) bathroom also doubles as a laundry - so as part of the renovation, I decided it needed its own space!
I've created a laundry cupboard! Its located just outside the bathroom.
There will be sliding doors on here - the left hand side of the picture will be the laundry space - there will be a tub, front loader washing machine, & wall hung dryer. There will be a benchtop from the sink, running over the top of the washing machine. Harley is standing in front of the new cupboard - half of it will be open, to store brooms, mops, vacuum, ironing board etc, the other side will be shelved.

Turning the Spare Room into a new Bathroom!

So, April 2010 saw my little mini-make over of the spare room .....
Original ....

Post Mini Makeover
At the time, I was thinking that this room would become my laundry room one day - well, I had a re-think on that ....... I really don't need a whole room for my laundry, so I decided a laundry cupboard would suffice. I will do a separate blog on that in a minute
The spare room is now rapidly turning into a new Bathroom!
First, we had to move a wall to make room for a bath .....
(Brown wood frame - original, Green wood frame - new)
Bath taking shape .... I had a recessed shelf built in - which looks like a great big hole in the wall in this picture!

The waterproofing was done yesterday, ready for the tiling to commence on Monday :)
Same deal with the shower ...........
I'm having 2 recessed shelves in the shower .......
Waterproofed!! I don't know why its 2 different colours ..... curious
The toilet, vanity, bath & tiles are all here, waiting to be installed! Can't wait!
So, its looking quite different ...... This stage of the renovation probably has the most elements to it than the rest of it will - moved a wall, removed a window & replaced with a new one, the plumbing, the electrics, the waterproofing, tiles etc etc .... touch wood, its all gone very well so far!! The council are booked to come on Monday to inspect the waterproofing, then the tiling can begin! Yay!!
